    @dmw - have you tried baking egg rolls on the egg yet??  We don't do much fried anything and always bake our egg rolls.  The egg adds a different layer of flavor.

    @Eggcelsior - Yep, that's what I'm looking for, can't find them. I found the rice paper ones that are used for the cold ones, but that's not it either. One of these days I'll go to a real Asian grocery.

    @Mattman3969 - No, haven't tried that yet. Sounds interesting. Do you coat them with anything to get them to brown, or just go indirect?

    I generally spray with Canola oil. Your post gave me the craving so I'm working on a batch now. I will start a new thread later.

    I just had to post this follow up photo. He just had his first surgery today and according to the surgeon, "It could not have gone better"
