OT: Micro-SD Card stopped working

I have a samsung galaxy S5 and save most my pictures on a 16 gig Miscro SD card.  For some reason . . it just stopped working and keeps asking me to reformat (clear all data) which I do not want to do.  I stopped into Verizon, and the dingo I spoke with did not have a clue.  Any ideas to save/recover?

    Get a micro-sd to SD adapter and plug into your computer and see if you can read it.  If you can and the header file is corrupt there are lots of free software you can use.

    You can also plug usb into your phone tell it to go to usb storage mode and see if you can see it through the computer interface.

    Hey @NDG.  If you can't get it to work and there are some pictures on there you really need, or just want, there are some computer forensics techniques available to try to get recover them. PM me if you want more information.

    Good advice above from @Ozzie_Isaac, if you can read it from the ‘puter all might be fine. Grandson’s tablet uses a micro and it quit with the same message unfortunately it was fried, data could not be recovered (he only lost his games so no big deal, except to him). Hope yours does not do the same. This is why we backup, right?

    I got my phone wet once and it stopped working.  Read online about drying it as best you can and putting it in a bag with rice.  Did that overnight and it actually worked!?!
