After still not seeing the fire ring, I sent a note to the warranty dept earlier this week stating the issue.  After speaking to the distributor for this dealer, the warranty guy said he would handle it. He requested a pic of the broken ring yesterday and today said the new replacement was being shipped.  Apparently the dealer never actually got it ordered.

Nice to know the mothership knows when to step in and just handle it. Will probably not use that dealer for anything else...
Update:  After sending a pic of the broken fire ring, I received my replacement within 4 days. Great Service from the mothership.

@onedbguru- Glad that they fixed you up. Dealing with the mothership usually solves most issues up front.

The warranty is one thing, but having a decent dealer is key. I recently put my dealer to the test, and was able to get a replacement base for my LBGE within hours of calling them.

And another thing - I highly recommend scanning your receipts into your computer or somewhere so you can find them easily when needed.

I have 3 others within 2 miles of the house... :)   In the future, I will work with one of them.  The problem dealer was actually where I bought it from 5 years ago.  They stopped carrying them for a while and started carrying last year again.

We had a awesome dealer in Biloxi. His place was called Grates, Grills and More. He had a website that was just spectacular. Shortly after buying my egg, his place and website shutdown. Don't know why or what happened. Have kept my eye out to see if he reopened somewhere else. He was really into egging and very helpful. Now my local dealer is a hardware. They have a decent amount of stuff, however they just sell it for the most part. They are not really into the cooking so it's more of a shopping experience when you go there. Sure wish the fellow that had Grate Grills and More would come back.
