Mini Max little chief , smoking salmon

Decided to get the small adaptor door for the guru and try smoking on the max. Wanted to see if i can get up and running quicker than trying to get the large going. Had existing lump and was ready in 10 mins. Trying to hold steady at 140 throughout the cook.
One thing, small draft door adaptor is not as nice and snug as the large, you have to remove the existing door and in doing so one of the black rubber stoppers cracked and broke off. (never happend on the large)..hmmm cheaper inputs on the max? Cast iron top also real loosey at any slight movement, never thought id miss the smokeware.
Smoking with alder, salmon is wild king and sockeye.
Results later.

finishing up, 140 never held, crept to 190's adaptor door not fit too well, and i cant really complain cause its not built for the mini max specific. I did tighten up with some fixes using coins to apply more pressure, see pic. the temp came back to 170 or so. I also may have used too much lump to stay in 140.
Wonder whats the lowest that can be held in the MM without the digi, but for now im ok.
