OT kinda, sorta, maybe....

Visited the art museum the other day, saw a display of Faberge eggs and thought ....hummm, why not?

A fully functional BGE/Faberge Egg!! ...With the invention of high temp glues and paints I'd be surprised if this hasn't ALREADY been done, but internet searches have turned up nada.

There's got to be artists out there somewhere that would enjoy the challenge.

BGE Atlanta HQ should commission one! ...or hold a competition or something, probably get some good press coverage out of it if nothing else.   ...maybe raffle the winners off for charity.  Heck Food network might be interested in doing a show about it. :)

Well, to each his own, but there is no way in Hades I am going to add "bling" to my BGE to make it look like a Faberge Egg.
Large BGE in a Sole' Gourmet Table
Using the Black Cast Iron grill, Plate Setter,
and a BBQ Guru temp controller.

Medium BGE in custom modified off-road nest.
Black Cast Iron grill, Plate Setter, and a Party-Q temp controller.

The Komodo Kamados kind of remind me of this. Not as ornate but they look like little sparkly tiles.

Well if you think about it, why did they name it the "Big Green Egg" in the first place?  ....I mean really, it really should have been named the "Big Green Avocado". That would have been a lot closer to what it looks like.  Could it have been that because it opens like a Faberge Egg they decided to call it an "Egg"?  Huh... Huh...
Inquiring minds would like to know.

Egg or Avocado, I don't care, I'm not adding "Bling" to it.  That would violate the terms of my man card.

Yo... I think you're off the point here.  I never advocated for everyone (or anyone) to turn their Egg into an objet d'art.  Just thought it might make for an interesting art project... that would still be fully functional.
I mean, I've seen cow and steer statues painted and placed all over towns...  Faberge BGE's seems like less of a stretch than those. :)
