I sent Maverick a email a couple of days ago with a couple of questions.
I've used the 733 three times now and each time the receiver batters have been deed, first time I past it off as not turning it off but 2 more times, I don't think so. The transmitter works fine, is there a problem or just normal?

Second question is can you use re-chargeable AAA batteries in the unit without damage?
Got a response back today, you learn something new everyday.

Sometimes when you don't sync the transmitter with the receiver correctly, the receiver will keep searching for a signal from the transmitter even if it's off. I suggest you replace the batteries and follow these steps to resync the two unit correctly:
- replace the batteries in both the transmitter and the receiver to reset them.
- plug the probes in the transmitter while both devices are off.
- turn on THE RECEIVER FIRST.
- then turn on the transmitter.
Following these steps should take care of the battery issue. Regarding the rechargeable batteries, we haven't tested that, so I will ask our product specialist and let you know as soon as I can.

@Randall_Lee ... I keep forgetting which order to turn on both the 732 and thee 733. My crutch is "it's better to give than receive ... except with Maverick!" Silly, but it works for me ...
I think others have mentioned turning them off in the same order ... namely receiver first.

I use re-chargeables all the time, even work in the old 732. I have noticed the 733 receiver to be a bit of a power hog, will try the reset you note, Thanks!Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
