@nolaegghead table turned out great. Jazzcat is looking awesome too
@tarheelmatt those are from a cellphone camera? Very impressive!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle -
Finished a bit of bacon last night. Rigged a new cold smoker box. Ice in the bottom of the cooler, metal skewers to support the pans holding the bacon, and the small egg generating smoke. One chunk of Apple made smoke for hours.

@blind99 - very creative. I'm sure it will serve the desired purpose quite well. Most eggcellent.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@lousubcap @tarheelmatt The bacon was delicious even without the smoke. It's definitely the nicest piece of belly I've gotten from Costco. I smoked for about 2 hours, and the final flavor was very good. A larger cooler would have been better. Other problem was the internal temp of the cooler wasn't particularly cold - about 80 degrees, even with ice in the bottom and the pieces of belly chilled before going in. But the setup served its purpose and cost all of about 5$.
A repurposed small wine refrigerator may be ideal for this.

Just grabbed some Blues Hog sauces from
World Market. Been wanting to try them forever now, but have never seen them in any store. World Market is full of surprises sometimes! Also grabbed a jar of the Ole Smoky Hot Bbq Sauce.

Listening to a wonderful downpour, which we badly needed, after this morning's "0% chance of rain" taxpayer-fed forecast.___________

Currently watching the Olympic opening ceremony and feeling like I need to take a refresher in World Geography. There have been a few countries which seem like I've never heard of.
