It's right there on the website, so I'd be really surprised if that's not the date.  It's such a huge event at this point - they probably have to set the date almost a year in advance.

Just watched the video highlights from last year and cannot wait for this event this year.  I have a couple of questions.

Is this event open to anyone? 

Do you have to register to cook in order to attend?

How much does this cost?

I've been cooking on the Egg for a little over a year now.  I have my favs perfected...well, at least my family thinks so and thats all I am worried about.  I am going to smoke my first brisket here soon.

Looks like this page has been taken down.  Hopefully they are just updating it.

Wanting this year to be my 1st Eggtoberfest so I hope it wasn't cancelled.  Also hoping to get a demo egg as well. :-)

It was supposed to be Oct 9-11 but it isn't on the calendar. Maybe the location is changing since the Confederacy isn't in vogue these days.

I am interested in how my earlier comment was marked off topic. I think it's a fair consideration as to why the eggfest isn't showing up on the Stone Mountain website.

Brisket camp is October 17th in new Orleans.   We eschew corporate overlords and party like it's 1999.
