Saturday Night Roast Pork...

Having a very good friend over tonight...
Since we almost always do steaks when he comes over; we decided to go with something else this time... A boneless pork roast, with some baby reds, and some sauteed spinach & beans for sides...
Also picked up a new toy today... Not egg related per se; my daughter wants to take guitar lessons in addition to her violin. Santa brought her a small beginner guitar to get started with and I told her if she kept her grades up and was serious about the lessons, that I would get one and take lessons with her... Well yesterday she brought home her 4 straight month of high honors
So, I went out and got this one to resume lessons that I stopped way back in the 5th grade

Good for you man. Don't be discouraged by the finger pain. Keep fighting. Here is my guitar.

@EGG_Daddy that's a sweet instrument. Love the sound of Martin acousticsFender makes a really nice guitar as well, but I've always loved the Martin sound.

It plays like butter. I actually named it Butters. It also has great Fishman pickups. The only bad thing is that it was $800-900.theyolksonyou said:@EGG_Daddy that's a sweet instrument. Love the sound of Martin acoustics

Nice! We live with a self taught musician (Our Son). Nothing like egging by the pale moonlight with him in the background on the piano, sax, drums or guitars. B-)
I love everything from classical to metal.
You'll love your new found Fender Hap. HuskerMaMa still has her 25+ yr old limited edition Fender acoustic with tuning keys on one side (got it while stationed in San Diego).LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -

Nice looking plated meal picture! The beans and spinach side looks interesting. Sounds like a dish that screams for pepper sauce.

Anyone with a touch of rhythm can play almost right away.Open E or D (if you are afraid of neck stress) and you can Jumpin' Jack Flash the night away. Open G for a different voicing and a Little Brown Sugar.Hap, nice meal, hope your young lady takes to the guitar, for someone who already reads music, she will have a lot of fun.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
Nice cook as always, I did a pork roast earlier tonight as well, then a quick clean out and rolled into an overnight butt cook.Nice looking guitar, I'm a little envious. I played for a short time in high school, but between it cutting into my new found hobby of drinking beer, and an apparent lack of rhythm and no ear for music it quickly fell to the curb. Something I still regret 20 years later. I sure hope it works out for you!Lethbridge, Alberta LBGE & MM
