Alton Brown is coming to town

Next week in Peoria, IL Alton Brown will be holding his "Edible Inevitable Tour" here. I know it has played elsewhere. Tickets are $48 and $58. Anybody here ever attend one?...that's assuming you are a fan of his!

Back on topic - I'd pay to see Alton Brown doing whatever he's going to be doing if he were coming here.... @RRP my vote's for do it!

I saw the show here at the Saenger in New Orleans.  I really enjoyed it.  I'd call it a variety show.  A little music, a couple of interesting food demos, some Alton monologues.  I don't think it's for everyone, but if you're an Alton fan (I am), you will enjoy it.

yes he has hosted that show as well as others on the food channel. The guy isn't for everyone the same way as Rachel Ray drives some people nuts, but if you like him or her and followed either of the over the years then you might want to see them in person given the chance...or maybe not! The thing that was not mentioned in this article was yet another ticket that was like $128 and limited in number which is a special behind the scene meeting or something. I assume it was either sold out or never generated enough interest.

My friend from high school got to go to his show in Omaha, and said it was a blast. She sprung for backstage passes and had Alton Brown autograph an old recipe card handed down to her husband from his grandmother during the meet and greet. I was crazy jealous. If you can get tickets, I'd say jump on it.
