In the box, likely has a warranty. Weird scenario, maybe they won it, etc.travisstrick said: -
A little to far for me to grab or I would.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Bet you can grab one from Mickey in Salado with warranty for about the same...Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Even though it's new in the box no warranty? Because it's not the original purchaser? Buyer couldn't register it for warranty? The Cen-Tex Smoker said:Bet you can grab one from Mickey in Salado with warranty for about the same...
That sucks if that's the case.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -
@NPHuskerFL seems like if he won not and didn't register it, the purchaser could register if he still has paperwork. Maybe?

That would seem reasonable to me @theyolksonyou but IDK :-??LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

That could be the case but it would all have to fall your way. I would never pay $450 if it did t come with it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

110% agree w/ ya there on that @The Cen-Tex Smoker
Probably better to get one from a dealer or at Salado like you said. Warranty IMHO is a must at that price.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -

here is your answer. I asked him if he could tell me a little more about how he got it and that I was wondering if I could still register the warranty. I told Him it was important because I've used it on my other eggs. Here is his reply:
If you have had such bad experience with these, why are you still interested in them?
If you are batting zero percent, I do not think I am interested in becoming involved. I have had nothing but good luck.
Thank you for your interest anyway.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -
Then he went dark. Yay craigslist.
$499 at Salado with warranty. No Platesetter but I want a woo anyway.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -
That's genius. Picky seller.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

$498 at Roswell Hardware when I got mine. Picked up a roadie the other day and they were sold out of MM. He said they can't keep them in stock. Crazy.
-
He did email me back and say that "last he checked things on craigslist weren't warrantied" I guess he thought I was asking him to warranty it. He does have the original receipt but got all pissy about the whole thing. He said "if the warranty is a deal breaker then this isn't for you"
I said thanks, ill pass. Sad part is that he just won't listen. He has the original receipt, in the box etc.but he has no interest in helping the buyer determine if there is a Warranty.
He will probably sell it but not to me.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -
If its bought from a registered dealer, there is a receipt.
Then its gift, the purchaser will still be the first user.
Someone go get it

From someone that's buys alot on Craigslist and sells stuff very rarely it sucks to sell stuff there. So many worthless emails and people offering half of what you are asking. I sold a 1920 GE brass blade fan on Craigslist the other day and priced it at half the price of the cheapest one on eBay and mine was 100 times better condition and some ass offered me a third of what I was asking. I am learning to only respond to people that say they want it I don't even answer questions anymore.

I have been texting back and forth with him for a lil bit. He seems interested in my gun, but now I just don't think I want to trade it. He asked me "can I shoot a squirrel with it"...so yeah, he's country. He's going to hit me up tomorrow. Nice guy...just older and probably doesn't sell much on CL.After all the coin I've recently dropped on stuff...I just don't think my wife will bite on spending more money on stuff we don't need.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....

Hope you get it Caz. i would rather buy one at Salado. I don't want the Platesetter anyway so its really only $50 difference from a new one with warranty. Not for me. If you could trade something that would be cool.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Maybe it's a good time to bring up this sentence in the BGE warranty:
For Warranty purposes, an original purchaser is the person whose name
appears on the purchase receipt, or is in possession of an original
purchase receipt, and who has registered their BGE Warranty as required.
Doesn't it sound like there are two different "owner for warranty" situations?
1) Show up at the dealer with the purchase receipt and, if your name matches the name on the receipt, you're golden.
2) If you have the original receipt for an unregistered egg, you can register it in your name and once again, you're golden.
Yes? No? Maybe?
