Check out Stoker-Web. You run a server java app on a Windows or Linux server and there is an Android app, not sure about iOS, that can connect directly to the Stoker or to the Stoker-Web server. The Stoker-Web server can log your cooks and export to PDFs. It hasn't been maintained in awhile, but from their Google+ page it looks like he has resumed work on it.

It's sad, but I drag a network cable out through the window when I use the Stoker. It's a lot simpler and less aggravating that way.

I love my Stoker. Never got it to work over WAN. When I try to port forward it crashes my ATT router. I think it's port 80 which is used for browsers. The router doesn't like it. Wish there was another way to do it. If there is, let me know. But in the house it works great. I use Stoker Log to graph the cooks on the PC. That works good but sometimes does not like it when changing Temps. I like that you can add notes to the graph. 
I would like to find an app that will set off an alarm on my android phone for set Temps. Haven't seen one yet. Have to check it in the browser. 
I haven't done any programming in 20 years but thought about learning to program apps to make one I like.
