Turkey Injection Marinade Help - Beer Golf

It's become a yearly tradition at our house to pre/post game at our house for Ice Golf. Yes Ice Golf. It's pretty much putt putt golf. Longest hole is maybe 30 yards. Drinking is highly encouraged. Sleds full of beer. So this past Thanksgiving I picked up up an extra turkey for Ice Golf. I plan on brining the turkey a day or two before. I will spatchcock the turkey. I've never injected a turkey before and looking to change it up. So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good marinade to inject. Homemade or store bought. When you inject do you still use a rub? How early do you inject before it hits the grill? Looking for something stupid easy. I could microwave the turkey and my guests wouldn't think twice about chowing down on it after bloody marys/cases of beers. Thanks for the help!

If you want easy, get a bottle of the Cajun injector creole butter and inject that in it. I would inject it the night before and apply dry rub and put in fridge. Pull out when you want to throw it on grillColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

+1 on the Creole Butter and still rub the outside with whatever you like on turkey!

Another endorsement on the creole butter for ease. Also for improved rub flavor, work your rub under the skin. And for that deep red skin color, use some cherry wood for smoke. Enjoy the beer and golf.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
