Didn't read the story the story but I bet it was my great great grandfather. He used to like to drink a little too much. I bet he had his usual big lunch and a few too many cold ones and fell asleep sitting under his favorite tree. In the distance he heard his SWMBO wife calling which startled him. He raced back on his horse forgetting he left his gun.
