Filet cheat meal tonight. Just sweet potatoes and a salad so it wasn't too bad.

Redneck hot tub, and cast iron skillet.

Salt seasoning on Sher-Bear's and mickey's coffee rub on mine...a little balsamic vinegar too.

Where's the cheat? Lean meat and low carb sides. Looks like a great meal to me!

I never tried the balsamic trick before but I have used Worcestershire. Gotta give the balsamic a try.

I just brush it on right before the sear. It forms a delicious crust.caliking said:Nice! Balsamic marinade or on the steak when you seared?
I guess the blasphemous part is that it wasn't on the egg. I probably won't fo another reverse sear. The hot tub gets them to around 110 so they're in the wheelhouse. I have seared in the skillet on the egg.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN -
Killer!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

That appears to be a nice dinner there. Nothing wrong with that.------------------------------
