Pizza Stone Storage

I got a pizza stone for my XL and a deep dish pizza stone and all my storage is an open SS prep cart or patio box right now. Is it ok to just let the stones sit out in the weather? I think the big pizza stone is ok, but the not the deep dish. What are your thought's? Planning on building some kind of cabinet or outdoor kitchen this spring.

I just keep mine outside, but protected from moisture in a lidded plastic container which I then slide under my table. Once or twice when my stone has gotten wet it sweats for some time before coming up to temperature.

I usually just throw mine in the snow and dig for it when I need it.

Best to keep them out of the weather, not that it will really hurt them all that much. Any moisture the stone absorbs will dry out during the preheat.
@Little_Steven has a back yard littered with pizza stones by the time the spring melt shows up = think he uses them like paving stones.

I keep mine in the original box under the sofa in the living room when I'm not using it. Same for my pizza peels. I've very surprised my wife allows this, but she does.

I also now keep it in the original box next to our oven with the peel.
