Here we go...first brisket

Its 8am and my head hurts. Happy New Year folks! Welcomed it in with Josh Abbott Band...great show. image

It all started with a trip to Restaurant Depot yesterday morn where I found a 10lb PRIME packer. I was delighted as this is my first shot at it. image

Brought it home, trimmed it up, and seasoned it. image

When we returned home from the show, I prepped the egg and fired it up. At 2am, brisket went on. I have a controller, so I put my faith in that and went to bed. image

Woke up a couple times and everything was rockin' along at 250...so thanks to everyone on here for giving me the confidence and knowledge to do this cook. We are really looking forward to slicing this for the games tonight.
