Succulent Success!! Prime Rib Roast (Christmas Eve Dinner)...
Hello, all...and Merry Christmas!
I trimmed and cooked a seven-bone prime rib roast on our XL for dinner on Christmas Eve according to the instructions at amazingribs.com. Let me tell you all that if you haven't tried their recipes, you're missing out. This rib roast turned out SUPERBLY, and had all in attendance in agreement that it was the best prime rib they'd ever had.
There she is, prior to going on The Hulk (as we call our XL BGE)...all rubbed down with Mrs. O'Leary's Cow Crust wet rub.
The drip pan, loaded with four rib bones, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and two cups each of beef stock and dry red wine.
The result...before the drooling family got a hold of it, anyhow.

That looks fantastic. Nice cook!

Looks great! Question, do you think it would have fit on a large?Dallas, TX

Maybe just barely. On a large, I might halve it and just cook two separate roasts. That might make the people who like the crusty shoe leather ends happy...especially if there's more than two!(But then again, who needs friends like that? :P )

That's some mighty fine looking grub brother =D>

Looks great, did my invitation to dinner get lost in the mail?

Nice looking cook right there. Hell, the drip pan alone makes my mouth water.I would have to agree with you on the recipes over at Amazingribs.com. Have learned an awful lot of good stuff on that site.
