He was a classic, nobody moved on stage like him.  I saw him in concert back in the early early 70's with Leon Russell and his Top Hat.  F*(K I'm old!!

Not much, but back then everything was a blur caused by a variety of mind altering substances, fortunately left back there.

It was a hell of a show as I vaguely remember.

Sorry I thought I was speaking with Hapster just there.Talk about old. I vaguely remember the show in the sixties. It was the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour as I remember. I know Rita Coolidge was in the band. I saw him in the eighties and the memories are much clearer. B-)

Loved the SNL episode when John Belushi sang a duet with Raquel Welsh while imitating Joe. Joe and John appeared together in a later episode (another one of my favorites)..
