I have ordered from these folks. Excellent product (I think they are VacSeal brand). I've only had one failure out of 200 bags. I can say the Food Saver bags were near 50% failure for me. Terrible products.

I started using the 'ziplock' brand about 2 months ago. No failures yet, 25 or so seals. The rolls are $3 less than 'food savers' at wal-mart for the 2 roll package.Hood Stars, Wrist Crowns and Obsession Dobs!

I have purchased from Sweet Attack a couple of times. They do have full case deals from time to time and the product is comparable (IMHO) to Foodsaver.RickRick in Tampa

Try your luck at Goodwill, you won't find them every time but they are cheap. Sams Club also has decent prices on the bags.1 Large BGE, 1 Mini BGE, 1 Minimax BGE, Original wife and 3 dogs living in the heart of BBQ country in Round Rock Texas.

not apples to apples. The first bags have a temp limit of 160°F when heating in water. The second, and food saver, bags can be used in simmering water.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
Now I'm glad I went with a chamber sealer. 50 bucks per thousand bags.

The Webstaurant price looks great! Until you see that it costs almost that much to ship. To my house, shipping is $11.89. Total $24.38Sweet attack is $18.75 for 100 full mesh bags. Free shipping. VacStrips are $20.25. Don't really know the difference.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I saw these guys mentioned on smokingmeatforums..looked into them and they "seem" equal to or better than FoodSaver, at a fraction of the cost..

Have not tried them (just haven't had time to get around to ordering) but will for my next order of bags and will report back if I remember..
PS: they seem to frequently have 10% off coupons on that other forum also..

It's actually a typo. If you look on the box or on other sites the bags are boilable. With the high shipping, you just have to order several boxes at a time to get the cost under $20 per 100. They do run free shipping at times. Here they are listing boilable. http://myvacmaster.com/cgi/ary.wsc/storagebags?p-item-num=10102000-MeshJoe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

Agree. I almost went chamber route but the $850 cost of the VP215, the weight and limited seal size caused me to external seal route. I haven't bought Foodsaver bags in almost 2 years. They usually have (or had) some really good 50% sales. Add a 25% discount code and free shipping over $100. That makes the final price less than 38% of the MSRP. I'll call my daughters before placing the order and then purchase roughly 50-60 rolls to split between all of us. They typically were buying 1 box at a time and thought that was a deal. The were delighted to find out they could buy 3 boxes for the price of one.

I just purchased the LEM MaxVac Pro Chamber Vacuum Sealer and am looking for bags… I have not used a chamber sealer yet and have no idea what I’m supposed to use. I know I can’t use the typical foodsaver rolls, so where can I find the right courier bags manufacturers? What are you guys using? Where do you find them? Thanks!

Just be careful, my buddy got cheap rolls on Amazon, but they were all garbage. They had creases in the sheets, and the vacuum couldn't create a perfect seal due to the crease ... so he wasn't able to pull a tight vacuum. Garbage.Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ!
