I tried a new Turkey Injection this weekend and it is the best ever. I found it on "About Food" and it's called: Beer n' Butter Poultry Injection. I made one change, it called for Tabasco and I used Texas Pete.
Here it is:
1/2 pound butter1/2 can beer2 tablespoons salt2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce2 tablespoons Texas Pete or Frank's Red Hott1 tablespoon soy sauce2 teaspoons garlic powder2 teaspoons onion powderI used the entire amount on a 17lb Butter Ball, and rubbed it with Ragaing River.

I recommend injecting the turkey the night prior and inject until the turkey refuses anymore. The morning of the cook I'll pull up the skin around the bird and hit it hard with Mickey's coffee rub being careful not to tear the skin while applying Mickey's rub everywhere under the skin.
I smoked the two birds Saturday for dinner and we had leftover sandwiches on Monday. My buddy went straight home and pulled out a frozen turkey to make more. Hahaha! His poor wife.
Give it a try. I think you'll like it. The only way we do turkeys here at the house.
