Meaningless Cooks (pics)

Our buddy @TigerTony suggested that we may need a "Meaningless Cook" thread. I agree.

Last night I cooked some bone in chicken breasts. No biggie we have all seen that cook a million times, but I enjoy cooking anything on my egg! As usual I got sidetracked by my wife. She had me put more lights up in back yard. No pics of that.  Yesterday it was our 23rd anniversary. You can tell we are in a rut because there was no grand celebration. Just a cook of chicken and baked beans!

image

I rubbed all but one, she don't like no rub, with Bad Byron's Butt Rub. I didn't even get a pic of the after, but I did get a few other pics.

All meaningless pics, but what the hell?

It's off topic but Happy Anniversary!!!!  Way to go on #23, you should celebrate with something more than chicken breast.

Actually, I think the 23 is the baked bean anniversary.  Look it up.  By 23 years your kids have put such a crimp in your cashflow that beans is a celebration.

    Congrats John.

No cook is boring on the egg - that's what I like about it.  It's an art/process.

Congrats on 23 - the "Michael Jordan" of anniversaries.  I have 15 coming up in March.  Wife told me the other night she never expected it to last half that long!!!!!!!  Ouch.

That's a little to "art nouveau" for me but hey.....we all can't be Picasso.

I wanna see the pic of the burnt chicken wings from @Mickey‌ again. I'm sure it started out with meaning, but meant less to him after he finished them. I love that pic.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

  • I have to agree that the backyard is ridiculous - beautiful, tasteful.

Never tried BBBR on chicken, but I put it on nearly everything else. My wife gives me the not-so-subtle side-eye when I sprinkle it on salads...

There are no meaningless cooks.....only meaningless posts.

I like the idea of a weekend meaningless cook thread.  When I do a "boring cook" I don't want to start a thread and ask others to contribute their cooks under my dumb one so I don't post it.  And I don't want to hijack someone else's thread with mine.

Anyhow, the chicken looks great, the house is fantastic, and thanks for the thread!

My regular cook. Burgers on the Mini. Two regular burgers and one Lucy with a piece of my smoked garlic jack cheese stuffed inside. All seasoned with Montreal.

  • @Sammi I have never made chicken bombs so for me that was not a meaningless cook. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder!

That's going to be the best thing about this thread - what's routine for some will be new for others. Hopefully simple too.

No kidding. These are far from meaningless cooks. They're making me hungry!
