    I'm not sure what you mine be press fit, but they came in from the posterior, dislocated my hip, cut the ball joint off, cleaned out the socket, put a new ceramic and plastic socket, drilled a hole down my leg bone, installed a titanium shaft and snapped it into my new socket. Is that press and fit? I am on a walker and can only put 20%-50% of my weight on my right leg for a while. I go in in about 2 weeks for x rays and to get staples taken out. I hope to be back at work in 6 weeks. I have other hip precautions too.

    Press fit meaning no cement on the device. They blast the cup outside and the stem to make little channels in it so your bone grows into it. That's why you have to gradually increase weight bearing.

    Ok, yes then that is what they did. I'm a little tired and my din wants me to play. Trying to, but surgery really takes it out of you.
