One of my best childhood memories was going up to Silver Lake Michigan (Anyone out there a fan) and getting Dole Fruit Whip at the Whippy Dip. No matter where I am for business, if I find it, I have to have it. I thought I'd try and find a recipe to make it at home with all the fresh pineapple I froze this summer. It turned out great, took me right back to the dunes at Silver Lake. Might be a good treat at the next BBQ. Recipe is below, makes about 8oz
- 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple
- 1 Pinch Kosher Salt
- 1/4 Cup Milk (I used Skim, use what you have) Add more or less to get desired consistency - mine was perfect soft serve
Put all in food processor or blender until creamy smooth - serve immediately.

If you like bananas you will love it. Just simply replace your pineapple with the bananas and you are in business.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
