    I was checking this out on the CGW website and saw the small woo in the next picture. Has anyone tried to use the woo for the mini-max in a small?

    Mickey, would you be able to measure the top of the platsetter to the grate? I am wanting to use a pie pan as a catch pan as the drip tray I have for the large regularly gets full. Basically a measure on your first picture in the OP would be great!

    Top of platesetter to bottom of grid: Platesetter legs down setting in notches w/Woo- 1 1/16" Platesetter legs up setting on Woo - 1 1/2" I have found I can make drip pan from HD Foil tripled and form sides. I am also a fan of using salt inside the pan instead of liquid or empty.

    I am much more a fan of the stone than Platesetter. But when I got my Mini Max Tom was waiting for the stones to arrive. Now he has them.

    Got my mm woo on the way. I have the platesetter going to try that route first before the the stone and drip pan although not sure if I will be doing much low and slow. Need to cut the probe on the mm thermometer down too. They should have sources a shorter and smaller thermometer

    Use a wine cork of toy wooden truck wheels or a friggin nut on the outside. Toss that spring as far as you can.

    I figured that was the best way, MM has some great grid space, but feels cramped for the taller foods, like a butt maybe. Still think I can take a saw to the probe and shorter it up, and keep it flush on the outside. No idea why it's that long though, it's almost touching the damn grid I bet, especially with the woo in there! Buy a MM, and you need a new table. ( mines on the way ), Buy a MM, and get a woo, and you need to find a way to fix the thermometer.

    Yes.. I'm kidding. I'm well aware of how bi metal thermometers work, I can't cut or shorten the unwieldly long probe.. Just wishful and tounge in cheek thinking out loud.

    I to wonder how this would work on the small egg? Would there be a benefit over the small woo. I like the drop type spider. Anyone?

    @Mickey‌ When I'm smoking my ham at say 175℉-190℉ would this still be recommended? How much salt (is using just enough to coat the pan enough)?

    Just ordered my woo, I see some here may have second thoughts on the plate setter after Tom offered the stone option. I am looking for a plate setter if you want to sell it.

    @SkinnyV‌ I don't have the stone "yet" ;)
    The PS works just fine imo with the WOO set-up. I would like to get a stone just to be able to do pizzas on the MM too.

    Do you think a 10 inch or 13 inch stone is better for pizzas on it?

    I'm getting ready to order the woo :)
