OT: are you tired of auto correct?

Someone posted a frustration with auto correct last night. Right on brother! I am sofa king tired of it. True story: one of my staff had in hand signed originals of contracts. She asked what to do with them. I said, "Joni will handle the origs in HQ". Auto-correct changed origs to orgies but I caught it in time. Cheeses Crisp Got All Muddy. I'd like to find the blistered who invented it and give him a piece of my mind. Auto-correct I'm tired of your shirt!
Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here.  Very Extremely Stable Genius.

  • When my phone did its last update it started doing auto correct on all my texts. I also despise it.

  • I guess the option is to simply turn it off - but then the world would learn what a terrible speller I am.

I use Mozilla Firefox for my browser, "check my spelling as I type" is found in the menu (3 horizontal bars) at the upper right of the screen, right under the red X. Select options, then select advanced options.
Other browsers will be different, of course. Be aware that spell check isn't perfect, especially with technical words. It will not alert to misused words, ie: wear for where (location) here for hear (one of the senses) and such like combos. That is the fault of the schools not teaching the right syntax and grammar. Spell check will, however, alert you that you mispelled misspelled, and reccommend for recomend!
