I got Google Fiber installed today for Internet and TV. So far I am very very happy. The wireless blows my old AT&T DSL away, I do need to update my ethernet card to 1 gig so I can take full advantage of the speed it can put out. The picture seems to be a little better the my Dish Network Hopper, but I am watching on a 7 year old 1080p TV. I need to watch something on our newer TV to how it compares. The other cool thing is I can control things from Android phone or tablet. You can also watch TV on one Android device while watching TV too. If it comes to your city I highly recommend it. Oh, the Google Bunny uploaded in about 2 to 3 seconds instead of 5 minutes.

I wish I could get it. I am lucky to have internet as fast as it is here out in the boonies. I am paying for 18MB which is the fastest plan offered, but the fastest I can connect is between 14 and 15mb.

Never heard of this but I'm all for more players in the game to control pricing.
Imagine cable prices if netflix never came around. Yikes

I hope and pray that we get it in the DC area. All I can get is cable for high speed and I'll kill myself before ever even consider looking at a Comcast ad again. They define "sucks".

I like dish but I would give it up in a minute. My internet now is 12 down. 1 gig is so fast.

I have evil TWC and they suck! Slow and out dated. I miss FIOS and I'd love to have Google Fiber.

Good thing they are trying to merge with Comcast. Two wrongs make a right, right?

They are laying down the Google Fiber in Austin as we speak. I'm out in the burbs so I won't get it for a while but Austin will be live shortly. AT&T is in a race to get their fiber down first and they are laying it in my neighborhood as we speak so I guess a rising tide raises all boats in this case. Prefer google but I'll take fiber no matter where it comes from at this point.

I love my FIOS 75/75 plan...but I'd take a GB in a heartbeat....I'm in it for the speed

Now that I have had it for a while I really like. Much faster then my AT&T DSL and there seems to be more channels then Dish Network, but no music channels. I can deal with that. You can control it with an Android phone or tablet. The iPad will control it too. There are a lot of sports channels too.
