    Yes it does look a little weird. Usually our AAA (USA Choice) rib roasts are about $10/pound, they are sold with the bones on and fat cap off. A 6 bone roast has about 2 pounds or more of bones, so when the butcher takes them off and splits them for me, he just bags and weighs at the regular $10/pound price. I guess the upside is I get a boneless rib eye roast for $10/pound so that's not too bad.... it all evens out in the end. 

    It is a good buy when on sale for $7 a pound, but the bag of bones for $15 still seems a bit weird.

  • I just got a whole veal leg bone at an Italian market I go to once in a while. Don't know why they don't sell them but I'll take as many as they will give me.
