Now that is heavy duty..... I think it can handle the XL without the nest....great idea....
-
Is the nest in there for temporary purposes? That beast can easily handle the load of that XL and probably another XL without blinking.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Thanks guys! The plan was to keep the nest in there since I was reading about so many of the tables catching fire. Whenever I move it I put 4 rubber door jams in the gaps around the BGE. I may have to play around with the design to see what I can do to get rid of the nest. The wood is dense so its very tough to work with. Cheers

Great creativity! I really like repurposing when it makes sense.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

Awesome table! This is what I had planned originally, but was hoping to use antique machine shop legs - cast iron from back East. I found several legs I liked on Ebay but they were $600+, plus a about $100 shipping. I was going to use reclaimed beat up pallet wood. Your table is awesome - hope it lives a great long life.

If you can get your hands on some beefy timbers, run them along the inside of the lower rails and pop the wheels off the nest and bolt the nest to the timbers. Great support of the table + AWESOME look of the industrial family table!!!
