9 racks of ribs (pics)

Well, I'm loving the new XL addition to my Egg family. We had supper club at our house last night and I smoked 9 racks. Put them on at 1:00 at 275. Left for the majority of the afternoon and came back and sauced them at 5:00, took them off at 6:00. They were pretty fantastic. Big hit with the supper club crowd. I used a combination of the Costco house brand rib/butt rub mixed with John Henry's Hot Sugar Maple. Sauced with Sweet Baby Ray's.

Thanks for looking.

Funny, I also put a few racks on at 1:00 yesterday at 275, after 3.5 hours they were overcooked. No temp spike, I checked on temp several times during cook. Tried to save them with sauce, but they were simply overcooked. I eat them, but the family had a few and looked for something else to eat. Had been nailing the BB ribs for sometime, but lately have been dropping the ball on baby backs.

Thanks. I had a small and large. Wasn't really in the market for an XL but found a deal I couldn't pass up. I have only used it a few times but it has come through in a big way each time. I got 150 wings on there a few weeks ago.Jeremiah said:That's awesome. Makes me want an xl!

I did 7 slabs, 7 pounds of sausage, 19 pounds of pork butt and a 15.5 brisket last Friday for my brothers 60th. Here is a few photos. Looks good. Mine were done in about 4.5 hours. Yours look good too. The ribs were the best thing I cooked that day.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.
