My son was having issues with his ipad, it would crash out of new games he downloaded without even letting him play.  He was ready to wipe it clean and start over.  I made him power down all the way, not just sleep it, and when it was powered back up, everything worked like it should.

So my point is, if you never ever turn your phone all the way off, try giving it a full re-boot.  Turn it off off.  Maybe even pop out the battery for a few seconds. Then power it back up and see if your problems go away.

Brother that was one of the very first things that I did on cazzys recommendation. I'm certainly not very competent with computers but the issues I have been having has almost got to be a programming issue. Example- If I hit the x to go back or delete something, it will freeze up 8 out of 10 times. It has gotton beyond annoying to say the least. I started to go buy a iPhone 6 today but got busy with other things. I think tomorrow im just going there and getting a new one and be done with it. But I have tried the power down reboot to no avail my friend.

Could be programming, could be hardware.
And with no user serviceable parts, out with the old and in with the new is sometimes the only way to go.  Good luck.

@SGH, have you tried a hard start? These phones are mini computers after all, and sometimes things get crossed.

Push your off button and home button at the same time until you see the Apple symbol. The phone will reboot on its own.

About the forum problems, I don't have an answer. Yesterday for no reason at all my husband could no longer get iMessages. We found an odd fix online, but couldn't figure out how the problem occurred in the first place.

I sure have tried the hard restart. Several times actually. What's strange to me, every time i do that hard start the phone seems to do better for a little while but then it reverts back to acting up. Same thing happened when I was finally able to download the new 8.1. I thought that had fixed it. For a few hours the phone did great and then slowly started freezing again. When I logged in a little earlier and read your reply, I did another hard restart just because. Trying to type this response my phone froze again right after doing the hard start. It always happens when I hit the "x" in the box above the return button. If I have to delete or back up its a about a 99% chance that it's going to freeze. Thank you for the suggestion though my friend.

It appears to be a "thing" at Apple Support, so it's not just because this forum is using Vanilla.

I've had no trouble myself, but the link above might give you some hope there is a fix on the way.

That fellow in the link that you provided above described exactly what mine is doing. If I try to backspace/delete its a given that it's going to lock up. Sure wish that they would get it resolved.

@SGH..my wife's 4S freezes up quite a bit, mine does not....I think she has a lot of used up space, where I am using about 12 of 16GB.  Can you tell what your used space is? I do not put video on mine...she does have some. Video eats up storage very quickly. This might be the answer to your problem...but can't guarantee it.

@hapster‌ I'm not sure of the size. But when I purchased it a couple of months ago, it was supposedly the latest and greatest iPhone 5s. I was told that it had the most storage of any of the iPhones available at the time for what that is worth my friend.

Which browser app are you using to access the forum....chrome or safari ??

If Safari....make sure you are closing all open pages after you are finished with them. If you have several open pages, and then access the forum, it will cause issues as you are seeing.

    Let us know friend.

I have tried both safari and chrome. It's the same issue no matter which one I use.
