    Photoegg is a long time contributor on both forums also. There may be history with RRP but I don't remember any. I can see how explaining something that can only work one way could be taken negatively.

    Some people are just overly sensitive and read things that aren't there. Then they say something and it's on. The bickering goes on from there. Sometimes it just blows my mind that people will go to the lengths that they do to defend their position. Show your cooks, be helpful when you can, compliment when warranted, and disagree in a respectful manner. If you can't do that move on and read the next post.

    The problem for anyone who posts on a forum is that there is no "tone".

    I can say to any member here " wow that was stupid"

    Say it in person with a smile and a chuckle afterwards and it is taken lightly and with no disdain.

    If I type the same thing in a post in a forum, that can be taken 2 ways, as above or now with offence.

    I would like to think that all of us on here are of a mature and kind hearted nature with a good dose of jesting and ribbing involved. Unfortunately that is not the case.

     

    I hope this forum stays lively with good jabs and great information, and I hope it doesn't turn into a shiteshow. I have been on another forum that went bad and its not a pretty sight. I still go and read but I don't contribute.

    If you notice there are always a few regulars that have it in for each other but in a positive way. If I go in there and say a comment that I may think is witty, I usually wont because it can or may be misconstrued and come across as arrogant or a know it all etc. There are a lot of members and just like friends we flock to the ones we like and respect, there are too many personalities on a forum for everyone to like each other.

    There is nothing wrong with a good debate relaying both sides of an issue or style etc, but when it gets heated that is when it all goes downhill.

     Remember what your Mothers told you, "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all"
