The mini max was used by several cooks courtesy of BGE today and on display at Eggtoberfest. It is scheduled to ship (per BGE marketing) to dealers on 11/1. The MSRP listed in the retail tent today is $598 which includes the carrier (not entirely sure about platesetter). It is extremely nice and I can see getting one.

Yes that is at Kim's spot and ironically you have ME in the background. Green shirt, left side.

Ha. I actually found this pic in the eggtoberfest Twitter feed. I left my phone in the car and wish I had it with all the maxes there.

Looks like a little tight on headroom per the cast iron impression left inside the domeWhen I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

Kim had the platesetter too high (look at the feet) and it was adjusted later. Plenty of height

Looks nice.

Is there a screen? Looks like just a door same as my KJ Jr.When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

Btw, I just saw an earlier pics before Kim started cooking on the mini max. That ting was already there and not caused by the raised grid and the CI skillet

Price point is off. No progression between the mini and the small. How it is priced higher than what I paid for my small is dumb imo.
Seems like BGE thinks they're Apple and can put a product out and the sheep will buy it. Oh wait, that probably will still happen.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
I'm still in. The small is $450-$550 in this area. Then the carten is another $150(?) plus I'm half way to the msrp doing my layaway plan at my dealer, and asked them to order me one as soon as they were able.
I'll be riding this unicorn in time for thanksgiving.\:D/

^^^LMAO! ^^^ Yes. Price point is away off. Especially considering the price point of the very capable, and well-equipped Kamado Joe Jr. nearly half that price via Costco road show, and 449. -- all day long via the internet. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. Oh yeah, you know people are gonna buy it. Must be the color. I for one am not into red or black. So if I get another ceramic cooker, it'll be green.Steven

I was told they'll phase out the small and mini, and will give a credit towards a max for further warranty issues after heir production stops. But that was just a dealer, not bge.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

I think BGE is trying to get to the "portability".."tail-gating".."camping" niche..

Don't get me wrong, I still want one. It just means I'll wait longer before I get it and will prolly get a mini before they kill it off. Assuming that actually happens.Jeremiah said:I'm still in. I for one would be upset if if something happened to my small and the only offer was for credit towards a MM. I like my small ano really like the height it is at in the nest rather than some squatty nest looking carrying cage.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Mini looks better IMO.
