Have to work the nightshift for a few days, so I have some time in the afternoons for a little egging, since I sleep most of the day I did some turbo ribs, quick and delicious.

1 babyback rack, stripped membrane.

coated with yellow mustard
 Kinder's Cali blackened rub
s&p

Raised indirect for 1 hr and 45 mins, at 340-350F
Flipped at 1 hr mark
sauced with a tiny bit of hot Chris & Pitts, just a spoonful rubbed around for the last ten minutes, toothpick test...Buttah!
last pic, belch mmmmmmm

Yum. I don't miss nights. Nothing like working 12s in zombie mode.

I've been working 12's at night for almost 14 years. You never get used to it. I've drank many a beer at 6am.

Brother the ribs look spot on from where I'm sitting. Excellent job. I feel you on the nights. We are on call 24 7. Nothing like working a couple of days and then rolling to nights. You feel dead all the time. Again nice ribs.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

For me, we had to rotate day and night shift every 2 weeks. 3 12s per week. Plus, every third weekend. You try to group shifts together to ease the pain and by the time you get used to one shift you switch back to the other. After a group of night shifts, it would take 2 days to return to "normal" so I'd try to get 3 or 4 days off in a row to at least get a few days to do stuff. The first days were just vegging out in a haze.
