    I miss seeing these posts>   Scotty needs to start cooking again.

    My brother, if only I had the time. I miss cooking tremendously, but life has really got in the way the past several months. I thought that I may have this summer off to catch up on some cooking, but so far, no such luck. But maybe with a little luck I will get to throw down around the holidays.

    That was a killer smoke ring!
    Thank you brother. I was proud of that one. They sure don't turn out like that everyone. With that said, I have got more consistent with them since I changed my wood combination to;
    1. A base fire of oak and pecan.
    2. Once the base fire is established, adding one log of cherry for every two oak and pecan logs that are added. The Cherry produces a far more pronounced and in depth smoke ring from what I have seen.

    @SGH, looks awesome, as always.  You just put a brisket smoking clinic on for egg nation.  Smoke ring perfection too Brothaman!

    Thank you brother.

    Before this i mostly though of @SGH as the guy with the anus issue (still haven't figure out if that is a running joke or if he is serious).

    after reading this whole thread I am impressed and awed. I have a new appreciation for @SGH. My apologies for the previous impressions.

    Thank you. And to set the record straight, in no way am I joking when it comes to cooking anus. On that note, I do however make a lot of anus jokes simply in fun to mess with folks.
    However, as I have said many times before, a well cleaned and properly prepared anus is something truly beautiful to behold. Deep fried in peanut oil until golden brown and yields slightly to the touch, it is a delicacy in a league with shrimp and lobster.
    However, the problem with anus is availability. There is just a very limited amount and you seldom see it for sale. For instance, a 2,000 pound animal will yield less than 2 pounds of usable/eatable anus once properly cleaned, trimmed and desphinctered, not counting the rectum/bowel, just the anus itself. So as you can see, it's very hard to get your hands on good anus. It's just not out there for the most part.

    I haven't in a while. On my way to my other place tomorrow I'm going to stop by his house and check on him. I wanted to go bye there yesterday but it was almost midnight when I passed by his place.

    He has been on my mind lately as well. If I have, I will go by his dealership on Tuesday and check on him.
