"BBQ du Staff" chicken breasts
45 minutes indirect @ 400F
Made rub with "BBQ du Staff" spice mix from Épices de Cru (spice trekkers), coarsely ground salt and maple sugar. This is my favorite mix for chicken.

Looks very good. Never heard of the rub. Anything that has the word sugar works for me.Steven

Such a small can, I like the looks of the size of the rub itself compared to finely ground.Steven

Great looking meal. Épices de Cru has a good selection of quality products, never tried their Staff BBQ. Like all things Canadian it is more expensive to buy in Canada than in the USA - even if it is coming from a Canadian company. Their website is hosted in US so all prices are in $US. If they ship to a Canadian destination they have to charge you sales tax on the shipping costs, if they ship to a US destination, no tax is applied.Considering all the Quebec locations, wonder why Smithers BC has a store?Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

@Skiddymarker
I think that their flagship retail location is located at the Jean Talon market in Montréal. I used to go there several times every year to stock up. Most of their spice mixes are now available in fine specialty grocery stores locally. They also had their latest book/sampler pack available at Costco last Christmas (best gift from SWMBO). Are you saying that they also have a retail location in BC?____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli -
@stemc33 - The spice mix doesn't contain sugar. I add some because I like how it helps getting a nice crispy skin. The mix contains a lot of coarser spices. I crush it with a mortar and pestle to obtain a finer texture. Some of these bigger pices are extremely flavorful (I am thinking of the mandarin peels) and it is better when ground.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

@paqman - according to their website - they have a location in Smithers - which is about 200Km farther away than Chibougamau is to Montreal. Maybe it is a family member or something.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
