Thermoworks TW8060 question

Which probe kit shook I go with? My natural inclination is to go with the heavy duty probes but I've read that your lid on your egg won't fully shut due to the thickness of the probe. So do I go with the lower temp/lighter duty probes and hope they hold up?

The high temp probe leads are 1/5" thick and could cause am issue with dome to base sealing unless the gasket was very new and very "fluffy", like a Rutland both top and bottom. The standard K type probe leads are no different than a Maverick, they do work best with newer gaskets and used with low and slows with temps under 450ºF.Have an older 8060 and the leads are not an issue. I use my Maverick much more as I tend to wander away from the grill.....Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
