So I woke up to my pit at 150 and the butts running an IT of 135

I am sure they are fine but i would like some confirmation on this as I am serving a lot of people .
any one have thoughts on this ? ?

@pantsypants
They are perfectly fine. Keep cooking. You had already crossed the safety threshold when the internal hit 150 last night. You will not notice a thing.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Is that a XL?
How much did they weigh, what was there IT at pulling off the BGE and how long did it take.
I read some where on here that if they touched while they were cooking it slow the cooking process down, did that happen with this cook.
I need to feed forty on August 16th on my XL and am planning on doing four Butt's
Thanks,
Chuck

@grillmagic
these were 5 butts and not sure the weight . But i treated them like just a regular cook .
I did it low and slow over night but then kicked up to 350 to finish it off .
I pulled them when the IT was between 195-200 as I wrapping them fro a long time ( not feeding until 6 tonight )
and yeah if they touch it would slow the process down but i would imagine you could get 4 on an XL without them touching .
How long did it take ? I am not sure as i never really cook for time ... that said i put them on around 5 yesterday and pulled them 20 minutes ago !!
its simple dont stress it
