pizza stone question

This may be a crazy question.  I know how creative people are on this forum and I thought if anyone would know then you all would.  Is there any other uses for a pizza stone other than cooking pizza? I thoroughly enjoy my pizza stone for its intended use, but was just curious.

I use it as part of the battleground when my little green army men go to war.  If I am in a devious mood, I will heat it up first ;-)

    Good for cooking breads.

Can be used as a place to set hot pans/grills etc to protect your table.

Use it to set up your grill for indirect cooking.

inside the cooker, we use pizza stones for indirect pieces, makes it easier to change the shape, size and location depending on what we're cooking.  Also, it's 360 degrees of open airflow around the entire stone, no legs to interfere with air movement in the horizontal and vertical.

@DMW - Can you tell a difference between a cookie baked on the egg, and a cookie baked inside a home oven?

@mlamb01 No, not really, unless you have smoke wood added to the lump (I wouldn't recommend it) or you haven't let all the VOC's burn off. I don't typically fire up the egg just to bake cookies, but if it is already hot, it works great to use the free heat for dessert.

If you are planning to bake in the EGG and do NOT want a wood smoke flavor, I would do a clean burn first.  My first pizza had been after a series of L&S pork cooks.  There was a strong smoke flavor.  After a CLEAN BURN, it tasted like it came out of a oven.  Open your EGG, if it is dirty and smells your baked products will smell.

Could you use the pizza stone to sit on top of the PS legs up for an indirect to, in essence make the PS larger?

I use mine to heat honey buns for the grand kids. They love them.

Cookies, pastries, pretzels etc etc. Lots of uses. Many use similarly for deflection as well.
