First Pizza on BGE
Was happy with the way it tasted. First, I would make the dough a bit thinner as I like a cracker crust, but this dough was done and delicious. I used the Bobby Flay dough recipe for grilling pizza. I also would let my stone heat up more, as I would have preferred a bit darker/crispier on bottom. That said....I was very happy overall! This pizza was so flavorful! Use a 6 cheese blend. Did learn to burp my egg as I burnt all the hair off my forearms when opening lol. (Temps approached 800 deg f). Gasket is still fine, but did need to readjust bands and tighten everything down. Glad to be here

Looking good! Pizza is still on my 'need to do' list.

Nice browning on the top there. Pizza is one of those things that takes several rounds of practice to really get it exactly how you want it. You are off to a great start.LBGEMenasha, WI

I've done frozen crusts and home made dough/crusts...my favorite has been to buy actual dough balls at the local pizza place, let them sit in the fridge overnight, roll them out super-thin, let them sit for a hour or so and rise a little, then top them and cook them up at 700 on a well-preheated BGE stone. They charge $1.00 for a dough ball for a medium pizza.

Thanks all. Looking forward to many more attempts!

Oh man that looks delicious... I am now very hungry!!
Also a new egg cooker, and I learned my burping lesson this way: closed everything down after cooking at high heat. 5 or 10 minutes later thought I'd look inside. (Not sure what I expected to see.) Didn't burp. WOW what a big ball of fire came up!
