First time Salmon!
Talk about beginners luck! I decided to try salmon for the first time on my egg and it was amazing. I credit a lot of it to the season I used. I went with John Henry's Pecan Rub. The season is sugar based so it caramelized over the salmon as it cook. I was short on time so I couldnt use my plank. I went direct heat at 400 deg until the salmon was 120 deg. Took about 20 min.

Looks wonderful! We use BGE Savory Pecan which is probably similar. It is wonderful on Salmon. It is one of our home to cooks when we have folks over - it's a winner every time.

Just curious if this is enough cooking time to smoke? Appears it just caramalizes, something I could do on the gas grill.

No, that's grilled salmon, not smoked. But depending on what lump you use and if you add any wood chunks, it will definitely pick up some nice, light smoke.Love you bro!

@Legume is right, I was short on time when I did this. Take down the temp, put in on a plank and add some wood chunks and it would be great
