What a great day today(yesterday)! Sheridan has a lot of activities going on this week, for it's Rodeo Week. My daughter, Grandson, and I went to a small powwow and watched some hoop dancers this afternoon. It was a really good performance. My daughter is a school teacher in a Yupik village just off of the coast of the Bering Sea and has a strong interest in Native Culture. Today was definetly a memorable day she'll get to tell her students about when she gets home. After the powwow we came home and did some tag-team cooking.

It was too hot to cook in the house, so we did it all on the LBGE. Here's some pics of today's cook. Started out with some bacon for the twice baked potatoes and finished with strawberry-rhubarb pie. Some of the best tasting yet. I ran the Egg and the rest was all her. Hope you enjoy the pics.

@stemc33‌ looks like some real good eats fir sure. Man I haven't had rhubarb pie, cobbler or crisp since I left NE. My Grandparents grew it and my Grandmother would make desserts with it. Glad you were able to enjoy some quality time with your Daughter and Grandson.

Thanks. Rhubarb pie is my favorite . My Grandma also grew her own rhubarb for pies. I don't think I've ever tried rhubarb cobbler. I'll have to try some. I will take a cobbler over pie anytime. Although that's not to say I would ever turn down pie, especially rhubarb.

Looks down right tatsy. Never had rhubarb pie, but wouldn't pass it up if I saw it.

@stemc33 how close are you to Story? I got an Aunt and Uncle that live out that way. Need to get up and visit them. Beautiful country.

Thanks @Griffin‌ I live about 5 minutes from Story. I actually live in Banner and it's in between Sheridan and Story. I just always use Sheridan as a reference to where I live so that people who are familiar with WY will know the area I'm talking about.

Come on @stemc33, I'm one of the closet eggheads and you didn't invite me.  I'll even bring the rhubarb.  We have so much of it right now we can't keep up.  Nothing else in the garden is growing besides the puncture vine and rhubarb.

I can understand that. I tell people I live in Dallas because nobody outside Dallas knows where Richardson is.

Great cook. Strawberries and rhubarb are made for each other. SWMBO makes a great one. Don't know if you have ever tried it but a great tip is to flash freeze the rhubarb, thaw and then use in the pie. Helps to ensure the berries and the rhubarb have a similar texture.
