Steak Kabobs

I have some top sirloin filets and a bunch of veggies. I wanted to cook up some skewers tonight but need some help. What is the best way to cook kabobs on my LBGE? I was just going to cut up the sirloin into cubes and thread the veggies with my fire wire.

Questions.....
Should I cook the meat separately or should it be OK with everything else?
What temp should I cook everything at? Direct or indirect? Wood chips?

Thanks for the help.

You can cook the meat with the vegetables if you so chose. As of late we have been cooking them seperate. Gives you much better control over both. We skewer all vegetables on one set and meat on the other. That way you can pull when each is precisely done. Then serve everyone a meat kabob and a vegetable kabob so they have some of each. Works much better this way in my opinion.

@SGH Thanks for the help. I ended up doing them on the same skewer, and the meat was tough as leather. I wish I would have seen your post earlier, probably would have taken the advice.

Sorry to hear that my friend. Cooking the meat and vegetables seperate gives you total control over the finish. Give it a try next time and see what you think.
