BGE Cedar Planked Salmon
Had some friends over on the weekend and cooked up a little cedar planked salmon. For those who have not tried it I will tell you it is a delicious way to do salmon. I myself am not a salmon lover but this dish rocks. Picked up a big salmon filet at Costco since I was cooking for 5.
Here is how it started out...
Had some fresh blue cheese stuffed strawberries (courtesy of The Chew) while we waited for the fish to cook...
Did the salmon just long enough to firm it up but still kept it nice and moist...
Here is it plated up with hearts of palm, avocado and tomato salad and corn/barley salad my bride whipped together...
The salmon is very easy to do with this recipe and truly delicious. Give it a try...

What's the sauce on the salmon?
XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

Nicely done indeed and excellent pictures!! This is on my short list of things to do on the Egg. It just got very close to the top after seeing this post.

How are you liking the 4/3s camera? I was thinking about picking up Olympus' point and shoot to play around with it. Your shots are gorgeous. No post processing, as it should be!(at least via EXIF)

That looks amazing. I would also like to hear whats in the sauce.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Here is a link to the recipe...
The sauce is Dijon Mustard, honey, balsamic vinegar, orange zest, and 1 teaspoon fresh thyme.
Really easy and tasty...
Enjoy!

Very nice. Salmon is my favorite fish on the egg (or the oven for that matter). I will have to try the cedar plank method soon.LBGE, Marietta, GA

This is starting to sound like www.froknowsphoto.com with the RAW talk!
Love the salmon! It's one of the next things on my list to try since SWMBO and the kids like it. Saw where someone also used cedar planks to make nachos.... That's more my ally!LBGE #19 from North GA Eggfest, 2014
