-
@BearQ - thanks!

@Kyrstie_Mandarin - to be honest, have NOT cooked on the Eggs at all over the last few weeks! TOOO busy working trying to PAY them off! hah! LOL! So to ansser your question, I paid a pretty penny to install ALUMINUN plates about 1/2 thick that the stands sit on! It has significanlty reduced the heat transfer but it still gets hot!
-
@BearQ - thanks for the compliment! It was a labor of LOVE! ;;)

@PMG - Last weekend I received the wood for my table build. I like your table and that you posted so many pictures to help others like me.I was wondering how tall the table top is from the ground. I have seen them from 33" to 36".Thanks,Mike
-
Love this first post.... Awesome pics and loads of them....really fantastic build....Enjoy!!!
-
@mbg - thanks for the compliment! Labor of Love! Okay, so the I am 5'7" tall, so I needed my table top to be at a comfortable height! So I measured it to be 36"! The table top width is 36"! The leg supports are actually 32" but when you add on 3" inch wheels and "about" a 2" solid Cedar table top, puts me at an adequate height! My table length is actually 84" long! Long Mutha! It could have been shorter but I wanted some table top space as well as lots of drawer space! My drawers are 26" wide and about 24" deep. Eggs sit on a metal stand that is 4" in height which makes my eggs sit tall but it's not a problem for me!@anzyegg - thanks for the kind words!!

Just finished wiping down my Eggs and table; I know it's a damn shame, but I haven't had time to fire these bad boys up since early Jan 2015! Who's Hatin?

@browntw79 - Get ER done! Lets see what you got! I'm SURE it'll be good! Loved to see how you spin yours!!! You know if you only had 1 BGE you could put in a ICE chest, bank of drawers like I did or sink or Kegger! IM me once you get it completed! Good Luck

@PMG I'm knocking it out on this project. I had to put the MBR bath on hold (with wife's blessing). I have selected to use African Sapele wood (mahogany family, but harder) that I got from my local hardwood store. Machines as beautifully as it looks. I will write up a full description when I'm done, but my vision is taking shape. It will have four solid maple drawers about 6 inches in depth and a granite tile inset on the side. I will be finishing it in a marine grade spar polyurethane. Watch for more to come . . . . . cheers! (Target is to have it completed by 4th of July)

@browntw79 - DUDE that is looking sweet! Love your rounded offset edge design! Very creative use of your skillz! Make that thing Unique! I like your wood choices! Any other objects or devices you plan to put on it? Can't wait to see the finished product! Saw the pics on your flickr page, really NICE work!
-
@PMG Thanks. I'm pleased with how it's developing. I worked on starting the drawers tonight. More picture posted on flicker.
I'm adding the granite tiles to allow for hot stuff such a deep fryer for the occasional homemade fries.
I'm still targeting the 4th of July of the inaugural cook. Possibly a brisket for the 4th!Tom

Actually, far from it . . . I work a desk job supporting the federal government. I've been playing wood and buying tools over the past 30 years. I enjoy being about to craft something out of some boards.
I'm very please with how it's coming together. Please keep checking my Flickr page for the most recent updates.Tom
