Hello Everyone!
Just got my first egg 2 months ago and I've been browsing here for a while. Sadly, my new baby sat packed away in the box until I finished my table which took me 3 full weekends to complete and I love it. I really took my time building my table and loved the process. ! I wanted to post now that I have something to post! I also added an 18 inch weber kettle to the fam that we picked up for my 9 year old son.
Well here it is! I love it. Amazing cooker. Made pizzas 40 minutes after I finished building it! Couldn't wait...

Thanks! The stone under the egg is a 1" piece of slate that I picked up form $5 at Lowes. I still have a couple things to add like 3 hooks and a bottle opener. Other that, I'm pretty happy with it!Still need to make some cooking tweaks. I had a barrell smoker with side firebox and an adjustable cooking height. Just takes a little getting used to.I'm in Northern California by the way...Petaluma, CA

3 full weekend's isn't bad for that table either. Very nice looking indeed.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Yeah, no pizza stone yet. Improvising with some 3" X 6" quarry tiles. They work great although a solid stone would be nice to have. Having a hard time swallowing the BGE stone price tag though. I found some round cordierite kiln shelves online for $14 each. I'm building a tiered grate so I cook 2 pizzas at the same time so 1 piece stones would be a huge benefit. Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words!Petaluma, CA
