Steak on the egg

It's been since last fall that I cooked a steak on the egg. I picked up my new challenger table yesterday and figured I'd christen it with a steak cook.
I cooked indirect until 125 and took the plate setter out and cooked them direct to finish them off. They turned out so awesome my wife said "why would I go anywhere else for a steak because it would not be this good".
What an awesome cooker the egg is to make a guy like me look like an expert!
Thanks to all who have helped me get to this level of cooking on the egg. Without the help of this forum I'd still be cooking mediocre steaks and thinking it was good enough.

HAHAHAHAHA I was so ready to eat I didn't take a pic of the steak.
I did take a pic of my new table and I will try to attach it. Sorry but the iPhone turns it 90 degrees.Nowhere Indiana -

@Loosemoose that's a nice table. @DMW taught me how to post pics properly from iPhone. After you selected pic it shows up at the bottom below the post. Touch the little pic and you will see where it says insert image delete image. Touch where it says insert image. Then the full pic will show up on the page. Btw haven't bought steak at restaurant in at least 8 months. Hell I don't even go out as much. Give the full pic a tryLBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

Brother when you get compliments like that you have officially become an expert rather you realize it or not!!! Give it a bit and it will sink in! On a serious note great job my friend and keep turning them out.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Very nice table. I would put something between the bottom of the egg and the cabinet. I know your local dealer will have the Egg Feet but a concrete paver will work as well. Just want to keep the heat off the cabinet. We just sold this exact set-up (different color panels) to a customer this weekend. We sent him home with 3 Firebrick to put underneath the egg. Just a heads up but awesome set-up!

Thanks for the heads up! I will get some firebrick and do it this weekend. I asked my dealer and he said it would be ok how it is but with the cost of this setup I'm not taking any chances.ChrisSonn23 said:Very nice table. Thanks SGH, I'm getting better with the egg and love every minute of it.
