@Eggcelsior - he said many of his photographer friends like the 5Ds because they're proven durable.  These guys abuse their gear.  I found a used 5D with an extremely low frame count (virtually new) for around $1300, which was less than I could get a 6D for.  That gives me more money for lenses.  I already have a few lenses because my old camera is a 10D.
I though it would be that. I have only bought EF lenses to future-proof myself when I moved from crop sensor to full frame.

I have way more money invested in lenses and accessories than I do the body.  Several times over.  No junk.  But my 16-35 ii 2.8 is used overwhelmingly.

Wide angle is my next stop on that insane train. Can't decide between yours or the Zeiss 21mm.

@eggcelsior - that's an incredibly sharp lens, but heavy and a slow focus compared to the canon.  I've been a prime lens snob for years, that's the first zoom I've had since my film days, but I have to say I love it and no regrets.   The canon 24mm f1.4 is an interesting lens if you like bokeh.

Everyone like bokeh. That's why I'm considering ze Zeiss wit ze 9 blades. Weight doesn't bother me. Feels old school.

For myself, wings are my favorite go to meal.  Just recently got my kids into them as well, not so my wife.  I forget who recommended Frank's REDHOT Chile n Lime, but I now have 5 bottles and love the stuff as a finish at the end of the cook.  I cooked mostly raised, direct, but will try out indirect again.  I like my wings fall off the bone with crispy skin.  :)

Can't afford to get into photography like you, but love my new Canon G16.  Had a G11 and G3 before that.

Use to race, take apart and build slot cars when I was growing up..  :)

Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX.  2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.

Outstanding looking wings, Grif! Prayers going your way for the health stuff. I know how tough that can be. But you can kick it's butt again. ;)
