Been more on a vodka, Topo Chico and lime kick due to weather but pulled this old friend out. Great to see pic issue still not resolved.

I made the wife some of that bourbon slushy, but instead of bourbon I substituted Amaretto. She liked it.

Hopsecutioner on draft because it was the best of a sad list. Why do they want to make a brew this bitter without any other real significant flavor or nose?Lawrenceville, GA -
Lemon juice, simple syrup, Jim Beam, no egg white, shaken. Whiskey Sour.
Speaking of simple syrup, it's made out of sugar and water, it takes 10 minutes to make a pint or a quart and it costs less than a dollar. So I'm stunned that people will pay $7 for a 12oz bottle of it at the supermarket.

It won another award at SF this year. It will be very hard to find again after that. I got lucky and found one a few months back and they didn’t know what they had. Bought at retail pricing. The place usually hoses you for anything they deem hard to find. I think it has been so scarce for several years that it slid under their radar. Happy hunting.RagingIrishman said:

I have; higher proof whiskies (and I think that was 110-115) can be hit or miss for me. I wasn’t a huge fan of it straight, it made a great Manhattan, but at its price point I couldn’t justify getting another for mixing.pgprescott said:

I guess it is 50 bucks now. I don’t think it used to be over 40. 🤷🏼♂️ The Rittenhouse rye is very similar and half the price.Acn said:
