It's not competitive. ..please post everything. Folks will learn and enjoyTroglodyte said:I didn't know this forum was competitive. I thought it was just a bunch of folks showing their attempts for the group. No way I'll post my measly cooks now.

The folks that run the Greeneggers site used to be subsidized by BGE corp to host eggheadforum.com and it looked just like Greeneggers does today. Folks that were members before BGE decided to move to Vanilla (in Aug 2011), were ported over to Vanilla along with their post counts. My ID made it over successfully. It seems like some did not successfully make the switch. Others refused to make the switch as the changeover was really ugly (downtime, poor performance, lack of communication on migrating, etc...) and many were upset over how the old forum admins were shown the door (I don't have the full details but what I read sounded like their years of service were seriously under appreciated).XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, M&M BBQ Texas Smoke King, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal

I get it...I really do. However, I don't get the inability to move on from the hurt. Eventually, a scorned person should fall in love again. Instead, several of them bash us and assume we can't cook for crap because we post here. It's just BBQ and it's just a damn forum...this **** just ain't that serious. Move on and share the common love for the Big Green Egg. I don't resent anyone that posts over there, but that isn't a two way street.R2Egg2Q said:Biggreenpharmacist said:Were a lot of you members and then moved over here or what? Tired of trying...the hate won't end until that forum inevitably dies. At that point, we'll have a welcoming party for the lost eggheads who aren't too prideful to give us a try.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -

I like the idea of a Sticky. Going forward you should add cooks based on amount of views and if people utilize the "like" feature to nominate it to be apart of the sticky or Best Of Thread.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

F*ck the forum wars. Wait... that might be objectionable language.I'm with @cazzy. Seems to be more than an eggful of bitterness on one side of the fence. Give it up already. I lurk there once a week or so, but the layout drives me nuts, so I don't bother trying to keep up.VHS won and Betamax died. Not arguing which was better, just pointing out that for various reasons, one survived and one didn't.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
